Hurry, Hurry, Hurry
We forget our lunch on the counter because we sprint out the door to work or school. We make a mistake on our homework assignment because we procrastinate and complete it at the last possible minute. This is all true of course, but the proverb speaks beyond simple lapses of memory and time management.
Psalm 27 - Prayer for the Fearful
Psalm 27 is a prayer for those who are afraid (v. 1). Here God invites us to prayerfully confront our own fears. That is to bring our unique fears into the light of his beauty and presence.
Esther 2: God who works through brokenness
In Esther 2, we meet the title character and learn that she’s not the heroine we’d expect. She’s a compromised character who’s broken God’s Law and who’s been broken by the world. Yet, even when she cannot perceive it, God is at work in and through to rescue her people.
